Hardware Team Lead
Isaac Mitchell
I'm Isaac and I'm the Hardware Team Lead here at EarthSense. My team are responsible for supporting, managing and maintaining our global fleet of sensors as well developing new hardware and investigating new sensor technologies. My role is to provide the engineers and developers with the right tools, resources and training for them to thrive at EarthSense.
Prior to work, I studied Physics and then MSc Space Exploration Systems at the University of Leicester. I joined EarthSense in September 2020 as a developer in the Air Quality Modelling Team, and have gradually moved across into the hardware side of the business. I began in the Support Team as a Support Engineer, troubleshooting the Zephyr® sensors and analysing measurement data, and moved to Support Team Lead before the creation of the Hardware Team this year.
I've found the problem solving skills gained in my degree the most crucial skillset for success - especially at an SME with a small team of developers and a relatively young product. The working environment is incredibly dynamic due to the rapid pace of development, which makes it an extremely rewarding and enjoyable challenge.
Senior Digital Marketing Executive
Lucy Vizor
Joining EarthSense in early 2023, I came from a background in B2B marketing for asset management software & highways, into the world of sustainability at EarthSense. This transition aligned well with my interest in environmental sustainability, which stems from some previous work in the EV sector. At EarthSense, I learned the importance of air quality, a topic I was previously unaware of.
Learning about and educating others on air quality has been rewarding. It's an often-overlooked aspect of environmental health, being an invisible threat, but is crucial for everyone's well-being. I have even had opportunities to get out in the community and run air quality workshops for schools in collaboration with charities like MyJourney Wokingham.
The team at EarthSense are brilliant. Their dedication and enthusiasm create an inspiring and supportive work environment. Working here has been a blend of personal passion and professional growth, all while having fantastic colleagues to laugh with along the way!

Digital Services and Systems Administration Apprentice
Lucas Ayre
My first interaction with Earthsense began in 2022, as part of my Digital T-Level course. Faced with a variety of placement options, Earthsense distinguished itself through its friendly, passionate team and its commitment to environmental improvement. At that time, my experience with such intricate software was minimal. Nevertheless, the team at Earthsense took me under their wing, guiding me through the complexities of their operations. This mentorship not only enhanced my programming and communication abilities but also provided me with invaluable work experience and a deeper appreciation for environmental conservation.
In September 2023, I formally joined Earthsense as an apprentice. My interactions across the company have been met with unwavering kindness and support, contributing to an enriching work environment. Reflecting on my time with Earthsense, I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a remarkable organisation. I eagerly anticipate further developing my skills, contributing to the company's mission, and playing a role in positively impacting people's lives.
Business Development Manager (Public Sector)
Chris Taylor
Having spent the majority of my career in account management at large corporate organisations, I came to a decision whereby I wanted to work for a company with more of a ‘family feel’. In February of 2023, I came across an opening at EarthSense to join the Public Sector team and I haven’t looked back since!

My previous experience was handling sizable public sector accounts, local authorities in main, to run business critical SaaS platforms such as HR and Payroll, Education and Revenues and Benefits, so Air Quality was a completely new concept to me. In my relatively short tenure with EarthSense we have brought on board some prestigious new clients to add to our already fantastic customer base. I see our technology offering, our dedicated support team and many exciting new products on the horizon, something that really sets us apart from anyone else in this space.
